Week 327 - October 11, 2015

Today I am writing this with a little piece of me missing compared to last week.

On Friday the dermatologist cut away a big birth mark on my thigh. I am visiting her every year for a check-up because I have a lot of birth marks just like my brother. he too goes for check-ups regularly. This is now the third time she discovers a somewhat suspicious birth mark and decides to cut it away to have it analysed. The past 2 times it was benign, so I hope the verdict will be the same now. I'll know in 2 weeks from now.

Every time the little operations require stitches, and so too this time. As a consequence it hurts a bit when I walk.

This was unfortunate since on Saturday we had arranged for a visit to the Planckendael Zoo with Bram. So I walked around slowly and a bit difficultly. But the afternoon surrounded by animals was nice for all of us. My brother is traveling a lot for work, so we do not manage to see each other very frequently so it was fun to meet up again. Also for Alex and Matías who adore him.

Yesterday evening I prepared some bread dough which i let to rise for the whole night. This morning, upon returning from a nice sunny stoll to the market I then baked the bread. And we just finished enjoying it with a good beer and nice cheese from the market. A perfect way to en a nice weekend.

This afternoon we spent at home. And while Matías and Marina were resting a bit Alex and I enjoyed some comics together on the sofa.

And at the end of the afternoon all of us watched Ireland beat France in the Rugby World Cup. Ireland will be the next opponent of Argentina. Next Sunday they will compete in the 8th final.

The pictures of this week are here.
